Today we’re going to finish up the 3 part series on Creating a Consistent Income with Ease!

If you’ve missed Part 1 – Attracting New People, you can catch up here.
If you’ve missed Part 2 – Nurture Your Relationships, you can catch that here.

So, let’s get into it, shall we?

STEP 1 – Invite potential clients to a consultation

If you’re attracting new people into your network and nurturing those relationships, the next step is to invite those that are potential clients to a consultation call with you. A consultation call is where you discuss your prospects challenges and how you can best support them in overcoming them to create what they truly desire. It’s the initial conversation where you both decide if you’re a good fit to work together.

A lot of entrepreneurs hesitate to invite someone to a consultation for fear of coming across as salesy or pushy. Instead, they wait for the prospect to initiate the conversation about working together. Sometimes this does happen, but most of the time it won’t even come up. Why? Because you never asked or mentioned how you can help them!

Don’t be afraid to speak up and let people know how you can help them. Technically you are selling, but on a deeper level you are offering to help them with something they’re in need of. You’re being of service. You’re actually doing others a disservice when you don’t let them know how you can help to change their situation.

It’s not about you…it’s about them. And, when you make it about the other person, it takes away the icky, salesy feeling.

STEP 2 – Ask for referrals

Perhaps your prospect isn’t a good fit. What then?

Although your contact may not become a client right now, they probably know of someone in their network that may be interested in what you have to offer. Always let others know who your target market is and ask if they know of anyone that fits your description. Ask them for a referral and share with them how their referrals can get in touch with you.

If you’re offering a live workshop or have an upcoming webinar…share it! Ask your contact to share with their network as well. Always make it easy for others to share by providing them with a graphic, a caption they can easily copy and paste into an email or on social media, and a shortened link (e.g. you can shorten your links using

STEP 3 – Inquire about opportunities

Lastly, always inquire about opportunities that will help to expand your network and visibility. Are you looking for speaking opportunities? Or perhaps you’re looking for publications where you can submit an article or a guest blog? Maybe you’re looking for new networking events or organizations to join. Ask your contact if they know of any opportunities that they can share!

You’ll be surprised at the connections you can make simply by asking. Have you heard the saying, “your net worth is in your network”? This is why that is true. Tap into your network and make the most of the opportunities that are available to you.
